The Commerce Department is currently mass mailing "Protect Your Business Name" flyer.
"A considerable amount of your financial and human resources are used in order to establish your personal business," says a spokesperson. "Trademarks are used by businesses so that their products and services are easily recognized by consumers."
Before applying for a Trademark it is recommended that you carry out a search online using a free database available online here.

The flyer is currently being delivered to all businesses in Malta and Gozo. It contains pertinent information regarding application. A copy is available upon request.
