Company launches "Kerbside Truck" campaign to increase recycling and divert waste from landfill.
"While hazardous waste tends to be low in volume, if not disposed correctly this can potentially create substantial environmental damage and pose a danger to public health. Trucks will have separate compartments for the different waste streams," says a rep.
Campaign aims to create awareness and a solution, "especially for those people with limited access to a Civic Amenity Site."
Waste such as light bulbs, polystyrene, textiles, plastic, metal, glass, paper and cardboard will be collected on various dates and times as specified online here.
