The vegan community in Portugal have launched "Vegoa".
Since the Algarve region and the Madeira and Azores islands declared themselves GMO-free, this project is offering membership based business opportunities for vegans, including buying a plot of land.
"We imagine a land full of food, flowers and trees, a place of small and infinite walk-able ways and natural buildings," says Cindy Deneys, a rep who attended this year's Raw Fest UK.
