"ODR" PLATFORM

The European Commission launched an "Online Dispute Resolution" platform.

"Serves as a single point of entry for consumers and traders seeking to settle disputes emerging from online transactions irrespective of where the contract was concluded," says the local representative.

The resolution bodies designated by the EU Commission have all been checked to ensure that they meet their standards and are registered with the national authority.

Dispute resolution bodies are currently not available for some sectors in Croatia, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Spain.

Locally, the European Consumer Centre of Malta is the national contact point. Office hours are 8:30am to 3pm from 1st September to 15th July and 8:30am to 1pm from 16th July to 31st August.
