"BACK PAIN" STUDY

The University of Sydney study has been highlighted in a release by the society.

In a major study involving 30,850 people over 12 months, researchers found patients who carried out a range of exercise reduced their risk of lower back complaints, "When patients were also taught the best way to lift heavy items in addition to healthy exercise, their risk of pain was reduced by 45 percent," says Stuart Palma, CSP professional health adviser.
